Struggling to get to grips with Excel to manage your event or project budgeting?

Do people keep telling you that Excel would make your life easier – and you don’t know where to start?

Come to a half day workshop, and

  • Learn some Excel basics
  • Create a simple project budget spreadsheet
  • Use Excel’s charting features

Attendees are welcome to bring their own budget spreadsheets to work on, and / or customise a budget template available at the workshop.

This course is for Windows machines.  Delegates will need to bring their laptops with them to the workshop.

In order to allow one to one support from the tutor, spaces for this workshop are limited to no more than 6.

Cost for the 3 hour workshop plus refreshments is £20 for members of Businesses of Saxmudham, Aldeburgh Business Association, Framlingham Business Association and Leiston Business Association; £30 for non members.

Meet the trainer:

This workshop is being run by Jenny Labbett, who has supported many organisations and individuals to use Microsoft Office, and Excel in particular, over the last 20 years.

Jenny Labbett is a freelance IT consultant, with clients in the public, private and voluntary sectors. Jenny helps her clients to make their IT systems more efficient and cost effective, by providing them with strategic and practical support in their use of Microsoft Office. This ranges from developing bespoke Access databases to running highly customised training courses.

Jenny started her business in 1994. Previously she worked in the voluntary sector for nine years and in the public sector for ten years, where her experience encompassed advice work, office management, IT support and training and IT project management.

Jenny has an honours degree in sociology and a postgraduate qualification in computing.

As well as being an IT consultant, Jenny runs Renaissance Training, which delivers professional development training and coaching. She is a member of the UK Association for Transactional Analysis.
